  1. I have acne prone/comob/oily skin and have struggled for years to find products that work for my skin, and like u I also tried Proactiv and it did nothing for me except dry my skin out. I have FINALLY found a skincare routine that works for me and is super cheap!!! U can get everything at Walmart/drugstores!!! To clean my face I use OLay deep cleansing face wash w/ witch hazel…Its under $5 and u only need a dime size amount so a tube will last a year!!! For Toner/astringent I use T.N dickinson’s Witch Hazel. Its under $3.00 and can be found where the bandaids are, and for my mositurizers I use the Clean and Clear Soft Day lotion for day, and then the Clean and Clear Soft night lotion as my night lotion. I also still use a spot treatment if I have any pimples that start to pop up, I use the Oxy one. But honestly, sinse Ive been using the cleanser and witch hazel, I have had NO skin issues for the most part, Ive seen a huge difference in my skin!! I also like to use a scrub twice a week to help keep my skin smooth and also to help w/ any pimples that may be lurking deep down lol. For my scrub I use the Nuetrogena Pink Grapefruit Foaming Acne Scrub. This stuff is AWESOME!!!! So..there ya go. Thats my recommendations!! Oh yeah… the ltions I use are under $8 each at my walmart, and the scrub is like $6.99 :)

  2. i heard you couldnt use a lot of different products on your skin? im also allergic to some stuff as well. Like the regular proactiv my face itched so i had to switch to the gentle care formula. But ill check those out when i go to walmart. Thanks!!

  3. I had heard that in the past too from a few different people, but I asked my dermatologist about it, and she said it wasnt true. Actually, Sinse Ive been using the products on my skin, SHE’S even asked what Im using, and tells me how wonderful my skin looks! Each person that Ive referred to the witch hazel has had amazing results :)

  4. your dermatologist is correct. That’s a complete misnomer, and usually something a sales person will tell you so they can sell more products. ; ) Good luck! I’m buying some witch hazel tomorrow! Also, the clean and clear lotions…. lol

  5. :-) I agree with what you are saying about te sales people saying that to sell more of their products! Thats very true! U will ? the witch hazel!! And the lotions as well, they have really worked wonders on my skin :-) Good luck and let me know how they work for you!

  6. I wash my face with safegaurd antibacterial soap and started to use the mineral powder for my face it works wonders it obsorbs oil really good.

  7. Honestly if you have anything more than mild, cyclical breakouts OTC products aren’t going to cut it. Prescriptions from a dermatologist and a very conscientious diet should help. It’s very important for acne sufferers to avoid washing their faces too often or with harsh cleansers.

  8. Hey girlie, I have been working for a skin care company for over 4 years and I want to share what I have learned about acne. 1. it can be a hormone issue (lack of progesterone) 2. it can be the makeup that you are using that contains mineral oil/ petrolatum clogs up your pores 3. also different cleansers also contain mineral oil as well. 4. Also if you use astringents they can be harsh and drying causing you to produce even more oil . I don’t care if you buy anything from me or not ( I don’t mean that ugly) . If you want to know what I recommend to people that I help is I would put you on our Prolief, makeup(mineral or liquid), good cleansing system with a masque to help w/ scars. I also will let you have at my cost w/ a 45 day money back guarantee. You can check out my website at successfromtheheartmyarbonne.com. All of our products are formulated from herbs in Switzerland. Email me if you want to try so I can get to you at my cost.
